On October 29, the Biomedicine and Medical Equipment Session of the 2024 Jiangsu International Exchange Week on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research & Application took place in Nanjing. The event was co-hosted by China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing Medical University, and Nantong University, with support from the Nanjing Jiangning District Science and Technology Bureau.
Attendees included Deputy Director Ru Yixian from the Division for International Cooperation and Exchange of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Vice President Feng Feng from Nanjing Medical University, Vice President Shi Quan from Nantong University, Vice President Yao Hequan from China Pharmaceutical University, and Director Zhu Chunming from the Nanjing Jiangning District Science and Technology Bureau.
The conference featured several thematic sessions focusing on topics such as Biomedical Talents Cultivation through International Industry-Education-Research-Application Collaboration, Cooperation and Challenges in Global Biomedical R&D, and Integration and Development of Biomedical Industry, Education, Research and Application. Nearly 20 experts and corporate guests from the biomedicine field, both domestic and international, delivered keynote speeches. Concurrently, an exhibition showcasing international industry-education-research-application achievements was held, with 10 outcomes from the three universities displayed.
The event attracted over 150 participants, including experts, corporate guests, faculty and students from China, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Singapore, and Sweden. Representatives from Global Alliance for Development of Pharmaceutical Science members, such as China Pharmaceutical University, National University of Singapore, and the University of Manchester, as well as partner Nanjing Sanhome Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., also attended. The conference achieved significant outcomes, fostering closer connections and interactions among overseas and domestic universities, research institutions, and enterprises in the biomedicine sector.
