From July 22 to August 9, 2024, 19 students from China Pharmaceutical University participated in the Summer School, most of whom were enrolled by Bioscience International Summer School (Bio-SISS) hosted by the Faculty of Biology, Medicine, and Health at the University of Manchester. The programme covered cutting-edge topics in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, evolutionary biology, and bioinformatics and included three main components: RSM (Research Skills Module), Communication, and Poster presentations. It aimed to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge, practical laboratory skills, and teamwork and communication abilities through academic poster session and group activities.
The summer school attracted over 250 students from 25 universities across 11 countries, including students from prestigious institutions, such as Peking University Health Science Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and the University of Hong Kong.
As a key partner of CPU in the UK, as well as a member of GADPS, the University of Manchester will continue to strengthen educational and research collaboration with CPU through various types of academic exchanges.
